Did you know that volunteers save Pennsylvanians millions of dollars every year? The costs associated with funding a career fire department are high and would likely result in an equally high tax increase. Our members are proud to serve in your volunteer fire department.

It is no secret that volunteer departments across the Commonwealth are struggling with manpower. Part of this struggle is in regards to the need of two person family income, part is an increased demand for training time, and still another part is the increased amount of time our volunteers spend doing fundraising activities.

I would again like to thank those of you who have responded to our mail-out fundraiser. I would also like to again encourage you to join the ranks of your volunteer fire department. We have opportunities to fit just about anybody who would like to offer their time.
