04:56 - Co 2 dispatched in place of non-responding Co 3, 14 Main Street, Mifflin Boro for wires arcing. Box 3-01. Before Co 2 signed on, Chief 31 went on the air and cancelled Co 2. No fire apparatus on scene, Chief 31 and Amb 20-5-2 were on the call

05:59 - Co 2 & EMS 20 were called to Arch Rock Rd, near Mountain Rd, for a reported tree down on the roadway. Box 2-05. Engine 22 marked out with 4, Chief 21 behind the wheel, FF Stottle in the seat. EMS arrived first and advised a small tree down, entire roadway blocked. E22 crew made short work of the tree, box cleared shortly after

12/29/08 - D.U.I. is dumb! Early morning crash starts the day
03:09 - Co 2, EMS 1 sent to Walker Twp - Main Street Mexico, near the post office, for a single vehicle into the guide rails. Box 2-02. Rescue 29 marked out with 6, Chief 21-2 (Leiter) in the seat. JCCC advised of a vehicle into the rails, single operator out of the vehicle, intoxicated and acting out with the caller. PSP en route. EMS arrived and reported 1 vehicle into the retaining wall, operator out and with PSP - fire units to proceed in non-emergency. Units cleared the call within 10 mins, operator went with PSP.

10:59 - Co 3, Co 2, EMS 20, Medic 29 sent to Milford Twp, Rt 35 & Varnes Road, for a 2 vehicle accident with injuries. Box 3-02. Rescue 29 marked out with 6, Chief 21-3 (K. Boreman) in the seat. JCCC advised of a 2 vehicle, T-bone collison, with injuries. Units arrived to find 2 vehicles, minor damage, 4 pts - all refusals. Chief 31-3 placing R29 & ALS avail.

15:20 - Co 2, Co 1, EMS 1, EMS 20, Medic 29 called to Walker Twp. Old Rt 22 & Rt 75 for a 2 vehicle accident w/ejection. Box 2-02. Rescue 29 marked out with 7, Chief 21-3 (K. Boreman) in the seat. JCCC advised of 2 vehicles w/ejection. Portable 15 arrived and confirmed. R29 arrived and had 2 vehicles on the roadway, fluids/debris down, 1 male pt lying on the berm. EMS was treating the pt, R29/E12-1 crews de-energized and applied hi-dri. E22 diverted to LZ at the airport for Life Lion 3. Crews cleared the scene within 30 mins.

12/24/08 - Christmas Eve produces a few calls for the 2 House
09:59 - Co 2, Co 1, EMS 20, Medic 29 dispatched to Fermanagh Twp on the Old Butchershop Rd, for an MVA. Box 2-01. Rescue 29 marked out with 6, Chief 21-2 (Leiter) in the seat. JCCC advised a township plow truck down over embankment, into a tree. R29 arrived and confirmed, plow truck totalled - no injury.

13:15 - Rescue 29 dispatched to assist Amb 20-5-3 on the scene of a fall victim. Fermanagh Twp on the Horningtown Rd, 2nd driveway on the left. Rescue 29 marked out with 7, Chief 21-3 (K. Boreman) in the seat. Female pt fell outside - trying to transport her POV, the car slid on icy driveway and off the roadway. R29 crew assisted EMS with extricating pt onto Reeves Sleeve, then to the hard top via 4x4

12/19/08 - Mother Nature reeks havoc in J-County, keeps the 2 House busy
10:05 - Co 2, Co 1, EMS 20 sent to US 22/322 westbound on the 100 mph Hill for a single vehicle into the embankment. Box 2-07. Rescue 29 marked out with 6 and Chief 21-2 (Leiter) in the seat. Units arrived to find a single vehicle into the embankment, 1 minor injury, occupant out of the vehicle and tx to LH.

10:56 - Co 3, Co 2, EMS 20 called to Milford Township on Licking Creek Road just prior to Zook's Damn for single vehicle into a pole. Rescue 29 marked out with 6 and Chief 21-2 (Leiter) in the seat. Units arrived to confirm dispatch. Single operator out of the vehicle, no injuries.

11:16 - Co 2, Co 1, EMS 20, Medic 29 Was sent back to US 22/322 westbound on the 100 mph hill (same place as first accident) As Geedey's Towing was loading vehicle from first accident, a vehicle struck the rear of the rollback. 1 occupant with injury. Patient transported to Lewistown, ALS.

11:56 - Co 3, Co 2, EMS 1 called to Licking Creek Road just past ZEMCO for a chimney fire, Box 3-01. Truck 27 marked out with 5 and Chief 21-3 (K. Boreman) in the seat. Units arrives on scene, Truck 27 went in service, cleaned the chimney, fire out.

17:19 - Engine 22 called to Walker Township, Texas Hollow Rd for trees/wires down. Box 8-02. Engine 22 was dispatched in place of Engine 82-1 who failed at the 5 minute mark. Before E22 signed on, E82-1 responded and Co 2 was placed avail.

12/12/08 - Rescue & Engine handle mutual aid MVA w/pin
12:18 - Co 4, Co 2, EMS 4, EMS 20, Medic 29 dispatched to Fayette Twp. Rt 35 in Oakland Mills for a 2 vehicle, reported head-on collision. Box 4-04. Rescue 29 marked out with 6, Chief 21-3 (K. Boreman) in the seat. Amb 45 AOS and reported 2 vehicles on the roadway, female passanger still in the vehicle. R29 arrived and confirmed entrapment. R29 crew stabalized the vehicle and deployed rescue tools to began extrication. After a successful 2-door swing, pt was extricated and transported ALS to Lewistown Hospital. Crews were o/s approx 45 mins

18:43 - Co 2, EMS 1 dispatched to Walker Twp, Rt 322 W/B at the Port Royal on ramp, for an MVA. Box 2-08. Rescue 29 marked out with 5, Chief 21 (Zimmerman) in the seat. Units advised that caller seen a vehicle off the roadway, into the trees, headlights on, unknown conditions. Updated info- caller reported it to be off Industrial Park Rd Ext onto Port Royal W/B on-ramp. Units searched all avenues and came up with no accident/incident. Box cleared.

12/9/08 - Truck runs mutual aid into Walker Twp for 2nd consecutive night
20:57 - Co 8, Co 2 Truck, EMS 8 dispatched to Walker Twp on Locust Run Rd - 1 mile off Old Rt 22, for a reported chimney fire. Box 8-02. Truck 27 marked out with 6, Chief 21-2 (Leiter) in the seat. Units advised en route they had a ranch house on the left, chimney fire w/ house filling with smoke. E82-1 arrived o/s, Chief 81-3 placing Truck 27 avail.

12/8/08 - Truck runs mutual aid into Walker Twp
19:22 - Co 8, Co 2 Truck, Co 1 Tanker (in place of T83), EMS 8 dispatched to Walker Twp, 16624 Rt 333, between Tuscarora and Van Dyke. Local alarm Box 8-03 for a chimney fire. Truck 27 marked out with 6, Chief 21 (Zimmerman) in the seat. Co 8 command used Truck's manpower for roof ops. No extension and no injuries reported. Box cleared by Command 8 @ 2040

12/6/08 - Chimney fire starts the Saturday afternoon
15:58 - Co 2, Co 1, EMS 20 dispatched to Cedar Spring Road, just off Industrial Park Rd -Crissman Residence- for a reported chimney fire. Local alarm box 2-01. E22 marked out with 5, Chief 21-2 (Leiter) in the seat. E22 arrived and reported light smoke from the chimney. Engine crew laddered the building to investigate, Truck 27 arrived to assist. Command placed Co 1 avail. Crews cleaned the chimney and boxed cleared within 20 mins

12/04/08 - Engine 22 runs a 1st Alarm chimney fire with extension in Fayette Twp
Co 4, 6, 2 (Engine), EMS 20 dispatched to Cuba Mills Rd off Rt 35. Box 404. Reported chimney fire with extension. Engine 22 arrived at 1127 hours with light smoke from the chimney. At 1128 Co 8 and 3 were dispatched for engines. At 1131 Capt 21 held the box to Co 2 and 4 all other units available. At 1137 Chief 41-3 assumed command.

12/01/08 - Engine 22 starts the month off with an MVC in Fayette Twp
0930 hours - Co 4, Engine 22, EMS 4, Medic 29 were dispatched to Fayette Twp on Rockland Rd for an MVC. Reported one vehicle into a utility pole, partially down an embankment. Units arrived on scene to find one patient out of the vehicle with a head injury. Patient transported BLS to Harrisburg Hospital.
