Co 2 responds assisting Co 4 on vehicle fire upgraded to structure fire

Initial dispatch @ 0600 - Co 4, Co 2, EMS 4 initially dispatched to Oakland Rd for a vehicle fire. After E22 responded the box was upgraded to a 1st alarm structure fire, units and box upgraded accordingly. Co 2 was dispatched for Truck 27. E22 arrived on scene, holding all units to Dean's store w/ exception of E22, first-in tanker, and Truck 27. FF from Co 4 o/s using a garden hose to keep house cool unit appartus could arrived on scene. Units arrived, staged, sent manpower to scene. House was not on fire, siding was melted from the heat of the vehicle fire. E22 stretched an 1 3/4" handline and extinguished the vehicle fire and when Truck 27's arrived, the T.I.C. was taken through the house to make sure there was no extension. Fire extinguished, house cleared. Co 2 was placed available @ 0644.

Co 2, EMS 20, Medic 29 respond to multi-car MVC in the narrows

Initial dispatch @ 1500 - Co 2, EMS 20 (2 units), Medic 29 initially dispatched to Fermanagh Twp, US Hwy 322 in the narrows west of the temp. bridge for a 5 vehicle MVC, possible entrapment. Medic 29 requesting 2nd ALS due to number of vehicles. Units arrived on scene with a 5-car chain-collision, last vehicle having the most damage and a patient needing transport to the hospital. Patient was not entrapt in the vehicle. Fire and EMS crew immobilized and extricated the patient onto a backboard. Patient was transported to Lewistown Hospital ALS via Amb 20-5-3. MICU 15-3 handled patient refusals. PSP cleared Co 2 from the scene. Co 2 available.

Rescue 29 assists Co 4 on a three vehicle MVC w/ pin on Rt 35

Initial dispatch @ 1539 - Co 4, 6, EMS 4, EMS 8, Rescue 29 , Medic 29 dispatched to Rt 35 near Oakland Rd for an MVC w/ possible entrapment. Chief 41-3 arrived on scene confirming entrapment. Medic 29 arrived on scene immediately requesting a second medic to the scene, Medic 1 was dispatched. Upon arrival of R29, driver of struck middle vehicle was already extricated via EMS and was in cardiac arrest, patient was transported, ALS, to Lewistown Hospital. The passenger of same vehicle was still in vehicle with a left leg injury. Vehicle was stabilized via R29's crew and passenger door was popped, giving access to the patient. R29 crew assisted in extricating patient. Extricating time marked at 1600. Patient was then transported, ALS, to Lewistown Hospital. Rescue 29 cleared the scene, available. Engine 62 was directed to an LZ at the golf course for the Pt in cardiac arrest, LZ cancelled. Amb 85-2 handled Pt refusals then was released from the scene to be mutual aid for EMS 4.

Rescue 29 assists on TT roll-over w/ pin on Rt 333

Initial dispatch @ 1933 - Co 6, 4, Rescue from Co 8 dispatched to Rt 333, East Salem side of the West Fall hill for a tractor-trailer accident, roll-over, with entrapment. Moments later Co 2 was dispatched for Rescue 29 to the scene to assist. Units arrived on scene with a flat-bed unibody truck rolled-over on it's roof, one occupant still inside, unknown status. After vehicle was stabilized, air-bags were put into place to initally lift the vehicle up. After multiple minutes of cribbing and lifting, Mayes towing arrived with a heavy wrecker, attached to the body of the TT and assisted rescue crews with lifting. At 2033 Pt was extricated, DOA. Rescue 29 returned to service after extensive clean up (all cribbing from Rescue 29 and other apparatus was used up during extrication). Rescue 29 returned to quarters, available @ 2101.
