09/29/09 - Morning Milfrod Twp MVA
06:46 - Co 3, 2, 20 units were dispatched to Milford Twp. Rt 35 south of Locust Grove, for a reported MVA. Box 3-02. Rescue 29 marked out with 4, Capt 21-3 (J. Boreman) in the seat. JCCC advised of 1 vehicle off the roadway, poss no injuries. Chief 21-2 (K. Boreman) arrived o/s, approx 1/2 mile south of Locust Grove Rd, reported 1 vehicle over the embankment, occupant still in the vehicle, investigating.
Chief 21-2 reported the vehicle to be driveable, no damage, no injuries - box cleared.

15:34 - Co 2, 1, 20 units dispatched to Mifflintown Boro, at the redlight/square, for a reported MVA. Box 2-01. Rescue 29 marked out with 5, Capt 21-3 (J. Boreman) in the seat. JCCC advised of a passanger car vs school bus, 13 kids on the bus, no injuries. Capt 21 (Adair) arrived o/s, confirmed no injuries, held EMS and placed all fire apparatus available.

17:03 - Co 4, 2 units were dispatched to Fayette Twp, in the area of 161 Laurel Run Rd. for a reported tree & wires down. Box 4-04. Engine 22 marked out with 4, JCCC advised of a tree w/ wires down, power out in the area, roadway blocked. Chief 41 (Varner) arrived and placed E22 avail.

09/27/09 - Rollover crash starts the day
15:08 - Co 2, EMS 1 dispatched to Walker Twp. Rt 322 E/B, approx 1 mile east of Port Royal Exit, for a reported MVA. Box 2-08. Rescue 29 marked out with 5, Chief 21 (Leiter) in the seat. JCCC advised of 1 vehicle on it's roof, unknown injuries. Perry Chief 5-1 reported o/s with all occupants self extricated. Co 2 units arrived and assisted with traffic, box then cleared.

17:49 - Co 2, EMS 1 dispatched to Port Royal Boro (Co 1 was on another accident), Rt 333 & Court Lane, for a reported MVA. Box 1-01. Rescue 29 marked out with 5, Chief 21 (Leiter) in the seat. JCCC received a 2nd call reporting 1 vehicle into a tree, 1 person heavily trapped. E12-1 freed up for their accident and responded to assist. R29 arrived, stabalized the vehicle and began extrication. Pt extricated at 18:18 (19 min extrication time)

18:15 - Co 2 engine dispatched to Fermanagh Twp, Mifflintown Airport, for landing zone assignment. Life Flight 1 had a 23 min ETA to the airport, flying the pt from the MVA. Engine 22 marked out with 5 and handled the LZ.

09/26/09 - Early morning back-to-back calls
00:56 - Co 2, 20, Medic 29 dispatched to Mifflintown Boro, area of the Youth Center, for a reported MVA. Box 2-01. Medic 29 arrived o/s to report a hit & run, no injuries, PD handling the call.

01:00 - Co 2, 1, 20 dispatched to Fermanagh Twp, Hower Gap Rd, for a reported vehicle fire. Box 2-03. Engine 22 marked out from the MVA with 6, Chief 21-2 (K. Boreman) in the seat. JCCC advised this to be at the top of the mountain. E22 arrived o/s to find a pick-up truck fully involved off the roadway, holding all incoming units on the roadway. 2 - 200' 1 3/4" lines were deployed and made quick work of the fire, no extension to the field/woods. PSP FM was notified, all units avail. O/S approx 40 mins

09/25/09 - Empire Kosher crash
13:46 - Co 2, 1, 20, Medic 29 dispatched to Walker Twp, Empire Kosher lower parking lot, for a reported MVA. Box 2-01. Rescue 29 marked out 'light' and was advised of 2 vehicles head-on, 1 pt with head injury. FP 21 (Black) arrived o/s to report 2 vehicles, no entrapment. F204 (Young) placed ALS and air medical in service. R29 held the box to themselves, remainder avail.

13:27 - Co 3, 2, 20 dispatched to Milford Twp. at the JAM House, for a reported AFA. Box 3-02. Immediately following dispatch, JCCC cancelled the call with info from a 2nd call back. Capt 21-3 (J. Boreman) proceeded it to confirm false trip.

18:14 - Co 2, 1, 20 dispatched to Fermanagh Twp. Rt 322 W/B near the Arch Rock Exit. for a reported wildfire. Box 2-07. Engine 22 marked out with 5, Chief 21 (Leiter) in the seat. JCCC advised of a call from 322 of smoke coming from the woods, possibly from the Minertown Rd area. Chief 21 holding E22 to the highway, R29 to Minertown Rd, and Co 1 units at the off ramp. R29 arrived o/s in Minertown to advise of a controlled burn. Chief 21 placed box avail.

14:45 - Engine 22 was dispatched to the airport for Landing Zone Ops. Amb 45 was en route from a 2 vehicle crash in Fayette Twp. E22 marked out with 5, Capt 21-2 (Groninger) in the seat. Life Lion 3 was en route with a 17 min ETA. E22 crew assisted with pt transfer, box avail.

09/11/09 - September 11th proves busy
00:38 - Co 4, 6, 9 dispatched to Fayette Twp, Fairview Rd beside Fairview Furniture, 1st alarm for a reported structure fire. Box 4-02. E42 arrived with fire showing, pulling 2nd alarm. At 00:48, Co 8, 2, SC 100 dispatched. Truck 27 marked out with 5, Chief 21 (Leiter) in the seat. Command cancelled the Truck, but ordered E22 to establish a fill site at the Brubaker Farm by the ball field. E22 with 5 personnel, Chief 21-2 (K. Boreman) in the seat, established the fill site and filled 1 engine and 2 tankers before tearing down and being placed available by Chief 61 (Roush)

JCCC advised caller reported odor of something burning, smoke from the basement door, they were evacuating. E82 arrived with normal conditions from the exterior, all units staging. Interior crews had an odor, no smoke, no fire. Capt 81-2 (Tharp) holding Co 8, remainer avail.

Units returning from the 8-02 Box responded along with Rescue 29, Chief 21 (Leiter). E22 arrived to find 1 vehicle on its roof, 1 occupant out of the vehicle. Command held E22 until the wrecker arrived, remainder available.

JCCC advised of 1 car under a tractor trailer, unknown injuries, unknown entrapment. FP 21 (Black) arrived to advise all occupants out of the vehicles.

JCCC advised of a van on its side, 1 male entrapped. Chief 51-3 (Stidfole) o/s confirming. R29 arrived, stabalized and began extrication... extrication completed at 1336. Eng 12-1 sent to Mifflintown airport for LZ Ops.

1405 - Co 2, EMS 1 dispatched to Walker Twp, the area of 6924 William Penn Hwy, for a reported MVA. Box 2-02. Rescue 29 just went avail from the Rt 35 pin and responded, Amb 85-2 in the area handled for EMS 1. E22 arrived to find 1 vehicle on the roadway, fluids/debris down. Co 2 handled traffic until PSP and wrecker arrived, box cleared.

09/07/09 - 1st alarm units sent to Brookline
10:37 - Co 2, 1, 4, 5, 6, 8, 20 dispatched to Fermanagh Twp, Brookline Manor Retirement Home, for a reported AFA. Box 2-05. Engine 22 marked out with 5, Chief 21 (Leiter) in the seat. JCCC advised alarm from security company, no calls from the home. E22 arrived with nothing showing, Truck 27 to Side A, E12-1 to the dry hydrant, Engine crew investigating. Crews found the staff BBQ outside the 2 wing, smoke lingered in the building to set off the alarm, no fire, box cleared.

JCCC advised of 1 vehicle in the median, caller reported it possibly GOA when units arrived. Chief 21-2 (K. Boreman) arrived to find 1 vehicle pulling out of the median, non-reportable accident, box cleared.
