07/31/07
-Co 2, EMS 20, Medic 29 dispatched to Mifflintown Square for a pedestrian accident. The patient is now to be in the antique shop on the corner of bridge and main streets. EMS enroute BLS. Capt 21 cleared box in approx 15 minutes.


07/30/07
-Rescue 2 responds to Mifflin Borough, assisting Co 3, for wires pulled down by a tractor trailer. Rescue 2 on scene for a brief time before being placed available by CMD 3.

-Rescue and Engine 2 respond to Fayette Twp, Rockland Rd, for an MVC with entrapment. Units arrived on scene to find a single vehicle torn completely in half. One Pt DOA. One Pt entrapt in the passenger seat. Rescue crews assisted EMS and extricated Pt while Engine 62 established an LZ at Lost Creek Golf Course. Pt was extricated and taken to the LZ where the Pt was then flown to Hershey Medical Center. Godspeed and prayers to all the friends and families affected by this accident.


07/27/07
-Rescue 2 assists Co 3 on MVC on Rt 35 and Varnes Road. Two vehicles, unknown injuries. Units arrived on scene to find two vehicles, one on the roadway with the driver still in it, one in the woods, operator out of the vehicle. Rescue 2's crew cribbed the vehicle and prepared for patient extrication. Driver of vehicle on road was extricated by EMS and Rescue 2's crew onto a long spine board and taken ALS to Lewistown Hospital for evaluation. Rescue 2 cleared from scene from Chief 31.


07/26/07
-Co 2, EMS 1 dispatched to US Hwy 322 E/B between Mifflintown and Port Royal for MVC. Multiple calls reporting multiple locations. Final location ended up being 1/4 mile west of the Thompsontown exit. One vehicle down into the trees off the highway. One occupant still in the vehicle, no injuries. Engine 12-1 placed available by Rescue 2. Units on scene for approx 15 minutes.


-Engine 2 assists Co 3 on vehicle fire, area of Muddy Run Rd and the railroad. Reported by Norfolk Southern Railway. Units arrived on scene with a vehicle completely burnt with a small fire remaining. PSP called to scene per Chief 31 for suspicion because no one was around vehicle. Engine 2 cleared while Engine 32 awaited PSP.


07/24/07
-Co 2, EMS 20 dispatched to the area of the Arch Rock Exit for a MVC, roll over, minor injuries. MVC in the median between US Hwy 322 W/B and Arch Rock Exit. 1 vehicle, rolled-over onto the driver's side. All occupants out of the vehicle. Units on scene for approx 15 minutes. PSP handeling call.

-Rescue 2 dispatched to the area of East Juniata High school for an MVC w/ entrapment. Cancelled en route.


07/20/07
-Co 2, EMS 20, Medic 29 dispatched to Old Rt 22 near the Weis Store for an MVC involving motorcycle. Units arrived on scene to find a motorcycle and operator in the parking lot of the car wash. Driver was unable to stop motorcycle in timely fashion at red light and laid the motorcycle over. Minor abrasions. Box cleared shortly after.

-Rescue 2 dispatched to Monroe Twp, assisting Co 9 on an MVC, cancelled before response.
-Engine 2 dispatched, assiting Co 3, to Mifflin Borough for a tree down, Engine 2 cancelled


07/17/07
-Co 2, EMS 20 dispatched to Cedar Springs Rd for tree down. Engine 2 o/s, removed tree, box available.

-Co 2, Co 3 Brush, Co 1 Tanker, EMS 20 dispatched to Brubaker Rd (off Butcher Shop Rd) for brush fire. Engine 2 arrived, held the box to Co 2 and EMS 20. Engine 2 then released Rescue 2. Box was cleared in approx 20 minutes. Engine 2 w/ 6, Rescue 2 w/ 3.


07/15/07
-Rescue 2 responds for an MVC w/ pin in Mifflin Borough. Rescue 2 arrived on scene with one vehicle into a pole, one patient unresponsive, trapped. Rescue 2's crew stabilized the vehicle, popped driver's side door and extricated Pt. Extrication complete in 8 minutes after arrival. Pt packaged and passed off to EMS. Units on scene for approx 45 min.

-Engine 2 assists Co 1 on a locomotive fire at Casner's Crossing. Units on scene about 30 minutes.


07/11/07
-Engine 2 dispatched for LZ ops at Mifflintown Airport for EMS 20/Medic 1. Cancelled.


07/06/07
-Co 2, EMS 20 dispatched to 417 Orange Street for a car fire. Engine 2 responded and arrived, fire out. Engine 2's crew checked for extension, verified fire was out and box was placed available shortly after.

-Engine 2 responds to Rockland Rd, assisting Co 4, for trees and wires down with fire.


07/04/07
-Rescue 2 starts off July with an MVC with entrapment, assisting Co 3, on Licking Creek Road. Rescue 2 responds with 6 and the chief. Units arrived on scene with one vehicle in the middle of a field and manurer truck still on the roadway. Occupant of manurer truck out of vehicle and both occupants in the vehicle in the field still in the vehicle. The driver with left arm and leg injuries entangled by the dash and steering wheel. Passenger extricated onto a LSB and transported to Lewistown Hospital via Central Juniata EMS. Driver was extricated after steering wheel was cut and column was rolled out of the way using the the Hurst T-40 spreaders. After column was rolled, driver was extricated onto a LSB and secured. Medic 29 requested air medical and Life Lion landed to the field to the right of the scene and was flown to Hershey Medical for a possible femur fracture and fractured humerus. Rescue 2 cleared the scene approx 30 min after extrication complete. Units: Engine 3-1, Rescue 2, Amb 205-2, 20-5-3, Medic 29, Life Lion, PSP.

-Engine 2 dispatched for LZ ops at Mifflintown Airport for MVC victims, cancelled, LZ to be at scene.
