06/29/09 - Back to back MVAs in Co 3 land
0415 - Co 3, 2, 20 dispatched to Milford Twp, Rt 333 east of Mifflin, before River Road for a reported MVA. Box 3-02. Rescue 29 marked out with 5, Chief 21 (Zimmerman) on board. JCCC advised of 1 vehicle into a pole, 1 black/male walking away from the scene. Capt 21-3 (J. Boreman) arrived o/s and advised 1 vehicle sheered off a pole, nobody in/around the vehicle. Units staged o/s until PSP arrived and caught the individual, Box cleared.

06:21 - Co 3, 2, 20 dispatched to Mifflin Boro, Juniata Street in front of Co 3's station, for a reported MVA, Box 3-01. Rescue 29 marked out with 5, Chief 21 (Zimmerman) in the seat. JCCC advised of 3 vehicles on the roadway, unknown injuries. Capt 21-3 (J. Boreman) o/s with 3 vehicles - 2 that were struck by another, debris and fluids down. Units o/s approx 30 mins

21:20 - Co 3, 2, 20 dispatched to Milford Twp, on the Muddy Run Rd, for a reported AFA. Box 3-03. Before any units were on the air, JCCC placed the box avail, reported false call.

06/27/09 - Kitchen fire at the Family House Restaurant
14:46 - Co 2, 1, 4, 5, 8, 20 dispatched to Fermanagh Twp at the Family House, for a reported structure fire. Box 2-01. Engine 22 marked out with 3, Chief 21-3 (K. Boreman) in the seat. JCCC advised of a fire in the kitchen. Chief 51-3 (Stidfole) arrived o/s and advised fire was out, box was held to Co 2/EMS. E22 arrived and crew checked the kitchen for extension, Truck crew accessed the roof, normal conditions. Staff knocked the fire out with an extinguisher, box cleared a short time later.

06/25/09 - Early morning MVA in the 2-01 Box
02:34 - Co 2, EMS 20, Medic 29 dispatched to Fermanagh Twp, Butchershop Rd near the pond, for a single vehicle accident, unknown injuries. Box 2-01. Rescue 29 marked out with 4, Chief 21 (Zimmerman) in the seat. JCCC advised of a couple calls reporting a vehicle racing up and down the road, has now crashed. Medic 29 arrived to advise of 1 vehicle off the roadway approx 50-75 feet, no occupants in the vehicle, needing to search the area. Units searched and found no one around. Units avail

17:14 - Co 8, 6, 2, 4, PC 7 dispatched to the boro of Thompsontown, 55 E. Main Street (Honoman House) Apt 210, for a reported smoke in a structure. Box 8-01. Truck 27 marked out with 6, Chief 21-2 (Leiter) in the seat. JCCC was advised of a grease fire in the kitchen, fire out, smoke throughout the apartment. Chief 81 o/s placed Truck avail, box held to Co 8 short time after.

06/24/09 - Rescue responds to 1-01 Box MVA
11:08 - Co 1, Co 2 dispatched to Milford Twp, Rt 333 & Lions Club Park Rd, for a reported MVA in the 1-01 Box. Rescue 29 marked out with 6, Chief 21-3 (K. Boreman) in the seat. JCCC advised of a truck rear ended a passanger car, unknown injuries. Engine 12-1 arrived o/s and advised of pt refusals, Chief 11 (Hart) placed R29 available.

06/22/09 - Afternoon MVA starts off the Monday
15:09 - Co 2, Co 1, EMS 20, Medic 29 dispatched to Fermanagh Twp, Long Rd just off of Cedar Spring Road, for a single vehicle accident. Box 2-02. Rescue 29 marked out with 5, Chief 21 (Zimmerman) to the scene. JCCC advised of a single vehicle into a tree, male with head injury. capt 21 (Adair) arrived to confirm dispatch, E12-1 placed avail. 1 pt transported BLS to Lewistown. Box cleared.

17:49 - Co 8, 2, 6, 4, 1 dispatched to Walker Twp, Center Rd @ Treen Pallets, 1st alarm for building fire. Box 8-02. Engine 22 marked out with 5, Chief 21 (Zimmerman) in the seat. JCCC advised of a machine (heat treater) on fire, heavy smoke. Truck 27 was assigned Side D and went to work. E22 proceeded to Muskrat Springs and established a fill site for tankers. Units o/s approx 1 hour. Fire was contained and building was spared.

06/21/09 - Early morning MVA up Licking Creek
02:53 - Co 3, Co 2, EMS 20, Medic 29 dispatched to Milford Twp, Licking Creek Rd above the ranger's station, for a reported MVA. Box 3-05. Rescue 29 marked out with 3, Capt 21 (Adair) in the seat. JCCC reported 1 vehicle overturned, 3 occupants of the vehicle, cell coverage cut the caller out. Due to the sketchy information, Medic 29 added a 2nd ALS and R29 added a 2nd Rescue. Medic 29 arrived first to advise 1 vehicle overturned, 3 occupants out of the vehicle, minor injuries. 2nd ALS & Rescue both placed available.

06/20/09 - Trees on wires ties up engine crew
10:19 - Co 2, EMS 20 sent to Fermanagh Twp, area of 1515 Jericho Road, for a reported tree on wires with fire. Box 2-05. Engine 22 marked out with 6. JCCC advised this to be just over the hill past the Benner Farm. E22 arrived and secured the area until PPL arrived. E22 returned after 3 1/2 hours.

06/17/09 - Early morning MVA
04:57 - Co 2, EMS 1 sent to Walker Twp, Rt 22/322 east bound before Port Royal exit, for a reported single vehicle MVA. Box 2-08. Rescue 29 marked out with 5, FF J. Henry in the seat. R29 arrived to find a pick-up truck on its side, single occupant out of the vehicle walking around. PSP arrived and placed all Fire/EMS available.

06/14/09 - ATV vs cow results in 2 serious injuries
00:05 - Co 3, Co 2, EMS 20, Medic 29 dispatched to Licking Creek Rd & Sheesley Ln for a reported MVA involving a motorcycle. Rescue 29 marked out with 4, Chief 21-2 (Leiter) in the seat. JCCC received another call reporting 1 injury. Chief 21 (Zimmerman) arrived o/s and advised a 4-wheeler (not motorcycle) vs cow, 2 serious injuries, cow DOA, roadway blocked. R29 crew assisted EMS with patient package and both transported to Lewistown, where both pts were flown to a trauma center.

06/12/09 - Pedestrian accident at the square
17:11 - Co 2, Co 1, EMS 20, Medic 29 dispatched to Mifflintown Boro at the square, for a reported pedestrian struck by a pick up. Box 2-01. Rescue 29 marked out with 5, Chief 21-2 (Leiter) in the seat. Capt 21-3 (J. Boreman) arrived o/s and advised of a female pt lying on the roadway, severe head injury. EMS arrived, Medic 29 requested air medical to the airport. Engine 12-1 handled LZ ops.

06/09/09 - MVA w/ pin on Spruce Hill Road
01:05 - Co 1, Co 2 dispatched to Spruce Hill Twp, just off Rt 75 onto Spruce Hill Road, for a reported MVA w/entrapment. Box 1-04. Rescue 29 marked out with 7, Chief 21 (Zimmerman) in the seat. JCCC advised of a single vehicle vs tree, 1 occupant entrapped. Chief 11-3 (Tornambe) arrived to find a single vehicle on the roadway, 1 male occupant in and out of consciousness. E12-1 to come in and start stabilization and start on popping the driver's door, R29 to assist and prepare for a possible dash roll. Pt extricated at 0127, air medical could not fly except to the Mifflin Co Airport in Reedsville, MICU 15-1 transported to Lewistown ER.

04:16 - Co 2, 1, 4, 5, 8, 20 dispatched to Mifflintown Boro, 15 S. Main Street - the Embarq Building - for an AFA. Box 2-01. Engine 22 marked out with 6, Capt 21 (Adair) in the seat. E22 arrived o/s with nothing showing from the A Side, light odor of smoke upon investigation. No keyholder avail, Truck crew forced entry, with nothing found. box held to Co 2, 1 and EMS. Alarm reset and building cleared, remainder of the box then placed avail.

06/08/09 - Vehicle fire starts the day
09:32 - Co 2, Co 1, EMS 20 sent to Fermanagh Twp, 3 Industrial Drive at Geedey's Salvage, for a reported vehicle fire. Box 2-01. Engine 22 marked out with 5, Chief 21-3 (K. Boreman) wheeling the Wagon. Capt 21 (Adair) o/s with a working engine compartment fire - vehicle is in the back row of the salvage yard, units to access the dirt road across from Mac's Clothing. E22 arrived with fire showing, crew exited and stretched the 100' 1 3/4" line to make short work of the fire, saving any extension to any surrounding vehicles. T13 arrived and supplied E22, the remainder of the box placed avail.

06/02/09 - Milford Twp Barn Fire pulls units from all over
11:30 - 1st Alarm units on the 3-02 Box were struck for a working barn fire, Milford Twp. Rt 35 south of Mifflin at Stetler Rd - Zimmerman Farm. Truck 27 marked out with 4, Chief 21-3 (K. Boreman) in the seat. Upon seeing the thermal column from a mile out, the box was bumped and tanker numbers doubled. Units arrived to find the barn well involved. Truck 27 had the A/B sides and went in service, E22 had fill site on Locust Grove Rd, E52 and E12-2 supplied E12-1, who supplied the scene. Burnham truck 1-1 was pulled from transfer to the scene to assist with master stream ops. MANY tankers shuttled water. Units were on scene approx 3 1/2 hours.
