in the seat. E22 was advised of a 14+ min estimated ETA. MICU 15-1 released air medical through Med Command. Box Cleared.

21:48 - Co 2, EMS 20, Medic 29 dispatched to Fermanagh Twp, Rt 22/322 near the arch Rock Exit, for a reported MVA. Box 2-07. Rescue 29 marked out with 4, Chief 21 (Zimmerman) in the seat. JCCC advised of poss 2 MVAs, 1 reported on it's side. R29 arrived to find PSP on the scene, 1 vehicle on its wheels, no injury. Units checked both lanes, nothing else found. Box cleared.

05/26/09 - Head-on MVA in Walker Twp
11:16 - Co 2, Co 1, EMS 20, Medic 29 dispatched to Walker Twp, Chicken Plant Rd on the sharp turn, for a reported MVA. Box 2-01. Rescue 29 marked out with 6, Chief 21-2 (Leiter) in the seat. JCCC advised of 2 vehicles head-on, unknown injuries. Chief 51-3 (Stidfole) o/s with 2 vehicles on the roadway, poss 1 pt refusal. Command 2 holding box to Co 2.

05/24/09 - 2 Alarm Fire in East Waterford Starts the day, followed by an MVC
01:10 - Co 7, Co 1 Engine, Co 2 Rescue, EMS 22, Medic 29 were initially dispatched to the Village of East Waterford for an MVC into a structure with fire. Rescue 29 rolled with 6, Chief 21-2 (Leiter) in the seat. En route, it was reported a working structure fire and the box was upgraded by fire units on scene to a second alarm, bringing units from Juniata, Perry, Cumberland and Franklin Counties, including Engine 22 and Truck 27. Rescue 29 was not cancelled en route due to unknown location of the patient - which was found about a block away at a residence - transported to Lewistown Hospital. The cause of the fire was a pick up truck crashed into the gas pumps at the store and caugh fire, catching the structure on fire as well. Truck 27 arrived on scene and had side A of the stucture. Juniata Engine 12-1 supplied Truck 27's aerial master stream operations. After the bulk of the fire was knocked down, it was noticed that the fire had made it to the basement of the structure and was nearly impossible to get to - a trackhoe was called to the scene to assist. Once the trackhoe arrived, it began moving large amounts of debris and opened the floor up for Truck 27's master stream. With the floor opened up, Truck 27 extinguished the remainder of the fire that was deep seated in the basement of the strcture. Structure was a total loss. ( Pictures: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 )

Rescue 29 snags a pin job just as it returns from the fire in East Waterford
06:34 - Rescue 29 was dispatched to Cocolamus Rd for an MVC with entrapment and ejection. Rescue 29 was JUST arriving back to quarters from the fire in East Waterford, picked up another tech and rolled again with 6, Chief 21-2 (Leiter) in the seat. Reported single vehicle, rolled over, one patient under the vehicle, two patients still inside the vehicle, entrapt. Rescue 29 arrived on scene and the airbags were requested by Chief 61. After assessing the scene, Large Airbags x2, multiple pieces of large cribbing, portable power unit and cutters were used. The roof was removed and the driver extricated. The passenger was already extricated and en route the LZ by EMS on scene. Once the driver was extricated, the airbags were utilized to lift the passenger side up and the third patient was pulled out from underneath - Class 4. A landing zone was established at Co 8's station for the first two patients. Coroner was notified for the third patient. Extrication time was approximately 22 minutes for both the driver and patient underneath the car.

05/18/09 - Rescue rolls on Medical Assist
02:51 - Co 2, Medic 29 sent to Walker Twp, Smith Rd to assist MICU 15-3 o/s of a severe breathing problems call. Rescue 29 marked out with Chief 21 (Zimmerman) in the seat. R29 arrived and assisted EMS with pt care, package, and extrication. R29 o/s approx 20 mins

05/17/09 - Tree down starts the afternoon
16:00 - Co 2, EMS 20 sent to Fermanagh Twp, Arch Rock Rd near Pine Drive, local alarm for tree down blocking the roadway. Box 2-03. Engine 22 marked out with 6, Chief 21 (Zimmerman) in the seat. E22 arrived and cleared the road, box avail.

23:09 - Co 2, EMS 20 sent to Fermanagh Twp. Rt 322 W/B in the narrows, near the fishing access, for a reported MVA. Box 2-07. Rescue 29 marked out with 4, Chief 21 (Zimmerman) to the scene. JCCC advised of an SUV vs bear, driver was not injured, unknown the condition of the bear. Units arrived to find the bear DOA, no personal njury, SUV totalled. Units o/s approx 30 mins

05/16/09 - Minor MVA reported Rt 35 & Rt 322
17:58 - Co 2, EMS 20 sent to Fermanagh Twp, Rt 35 at the Rt 322 Mifflintown off ramp, reported MVA. Box 2-01. PSP arrived o/s and cancelled all fire/ems at 1800.
05/15/09 - Wildfire reported off Rt 322
11:31- Co 2, Co 1 dispatched to a reported wildfire, Walker Twp Rt 322 eastbound, 1 1/2 miles east of Port Reoyal exit. Box 2-08. Engine 22 marked out with 6, Chief 21-3 (K. Boreman) in the seat. JCCC advised the caller reported trees on fire. Safety 11 was on Rt 322 and advised the easiest access was off Old 22 behind Frymoyer's Trucking. E22 arrived o/s with a poss controlled burn. After speaking with an unhappy landowner, controlled burn was confirmed, box cleared.

05/13/09 - AFA brings 1st alarm to the county seed
09:59 - Co 2, 1, 4, 5, 8, 20 dispatched to the county courthouse for an AFA. Box 2-01. 2nd call from the courthouse reports false trip. Capt 21-3 (J. Boreman) arriving o/s, false trip, placing box avail before any units responded.
05/12/09 - Rescue summoned to Beale Twp
18:23- Co 5, Co 1, Co 2, EMS 1 dispatched to Beale Twp on McCoysville Rd, for a reported vehicle accident w/ entrapment. Box 5-02. Rescue 29 marked out with 6, Chief 21-2 (Leiter) in the seat. JCCC advised of a single vehicle rollover, female pinned, retired officer o/s. Chief 51-3 (Stidfole) on scene reported minor injury, female extricated, placing ALS and Rescue avail.

05/07/09 - 1st alarm units sent to the courthouse
09:20 - Co 2, 1, 4, 5, 8, 20 dispatched to Mifflintown Boro, JC Courthouse, reported AFA. Box 2-01. Capt21 (Adair) en route, JCCC advised of an alarm from the basement. Capt21 o/s reported a crew ripping out the ceiling tripped the alarm, false activation, box cleared.

14:20 - Co 3, Co 2, EMS 20, Medic 29 sent to Spectacle Gap Road, off Licking Creek Road, for a rescue assignment. Box 3-05. Rescue 29 marked out with 5, Capt 21-3 (J. Boreman) in the seat. JCCC advised of an elderly male who was fishing, fell down an embankment and into the creek. Pt had a severe back injury and the by-stander on scene could not move him. R29 arrived and crew assised EMS with immobilizing the patient and extraction from the creek. Pt was transported BLS to Lewistown. Units o/s approx 25 mins

05/06/09 - Minor MVA in Mexico (village of)
16:45- Co 2, Co 1 sent to Walker Twp, Foster Rd in the Village of Mexico, for a reported MVA unknown injuries. Box 2-02. Rescue 29 marked out with 6, Chief 21-2 (Leiter) in the seat. FP 21 AOS to report 2 vehicles, no injuries. R29 arrived, confirming, all units avail shortly after.

05/05/09 - CO call at the courthouse starts the day
10:19 - Co 2, 1, 20 dispatched to Mifflintown Boro, Juniata Co Courthouse, for a reported CO problem. Box 2-01. Engine 22 marked out with 6, Chief 21-3 (K. Boreman) in the seat. E22 arrived to find the courthouse evacuated. Report o/s was a poss sewer gas issue, the county maintenance was o/s handling the prob, all units placed avail.

15:57 - Co 2, 1, 20, Medic 29 sent to US 22/322 wesutbound in the Narrows, just east of the fishing access, for a reported MVA. Box 2-07. Rescue 29 marked out with 6, Chief 21-2 (Leiter) in the seat. JCCC reported multiple calls, 2 vehicles, 1 with roll over, unknown extent of injuries. R29 arrived with 2 vehicles, 1 on its roof in the passing lane, 1 smashed into the jersey barriers, debris/fluids down. No extrapment - patients were packaged and tx to Lewistown Hospital, units cleared.

05/04/09 - Rescue called to Mifflin Boro
20:15 - Co 3, 2, 20 dispatched to Mifflin Boro, Rt 35 & 333 W ,in front of Jack's, for a reported 2 vehicle MVA. Box 3-01. Capt 21-3 (J. Boreman) & Chief 21 (Zimmerman) the 1st o/s to report 2 vehicles on the roadway, all occupants out, placing R29 avail.

05/03/09 - Afternoon fire starts the day
12:30 - Co 1, 2, 5, PC 3 dispatched to Milford Twp, Rt 333 beside the Rt 333 Supply, for a reported structure fire. Box 1-01. Engine 22 marked out with 5, Chief 21 (Zimmerman) in the seat. JCCC advised of a kitchen fire, poss out, with 1 minor burn patient. E22 arrived just behind E12-1, normal conditions from Side A. Investigation showed fire was out, crews checked for extension and ventilated. Resident was cooking when the window curtain caught fire and spread- resident was able to knock the fire out. Chief 11 (Hart) held Co 1 & Co 2, remainder placed avail. (-) extension, residence vented, box cleared.

When marked out, JCCC advised they were to transfer to Station 13 (Brooklyn). As the Truck was en route, Engine 22 was dispatched to transfer to Station 15 (Junction).
