-Engine 2 established a Landing Zone at Mifflintown Airport for Life Lion for an MVC victim per EMS 1. EMS Co 1 had an MVC victim with a femure fracture. The LZ was established, Life Lion landed, loaded patient and went airborne without incident. Box cleared.
05/29/08
-Engine and Truck 2 assist Co 8 on a structure fire in Delaware Twp on Old Rt 22. Units staged near the scene. Co 8 units made a knock of the fire and placed Co 2 available shortly after.
05/28/08
-Truck 2 transferred to Mifflin County Station 11 - United Fire and Rescue - while MC units were on a fire. Truck 2 transferred with 4 personnel. Truck 2 cleared Mifflin County, available at 2149.
05/26/08
-Truck 2 requested per Police Department to help rescue a person trapped on a roof in Vantage Hills. Truck 2 arrived on scene to find a male on top of the roof, unable to make it safely back down due to steepness of roof. FF A. Stottle and FF/EMT G. Stottle manned the bucket and proceeded to the roof and brought the man back down safely. Pt had only blisters on his hands and refused EMS. Pt thanked fire deparment, box cleared.

05/24/08
-Engine 2 dispatched for a landing zone assignment to Mifflintown Airport for Life Lion per EMS 1. While on a standby at Port Royal Raceway, EMS 1's crew was notified of a female that had a bottle jack come loose from under a vehicle in the pits and the vehicle landed on the patients hand partially amputating middle and ring finger of right hand. There was not orthopedic doctors available at Lewistown Hospital, therefore, Pt was flow to the nearest trauma center. Engine 2 had 6 personnel.
05/22/08
-Co 2, 1st alarm units, EMS 20 dispatched to Horningtown Road for a residential automatic fire alarm. Call from the residence, reporting false trip. Engine 2 cleared the box, continuing to the scene to speak with home owner. Capt 2-2 on scene confirming false trip box cleared.

-Engine and Truck 2 performed masterstream training over the weekend to get some new members involved. Members were encoraged to fly the aerial and FF Greg Stottle drove/operated the engine and Capt 2-2 Adam Geedy drove/operated the truck. A few new members got their first ride in the bucket, others finally got to operate the bucket. The training was very fun for all involved. Click for pictures.

-Co 2, EMS 20, Medic 29 dispatched to US Hwy 322 W/B for an MVC involving a construction vehicle. Medic 29 arrived on scene with single passenger vehicle into a street sweeper. One patient, on the ground, laceration to the neck. Rescue 2 arrived on scene, assisted EMS in packaging patient and cleaned up the debris. PSP arrived and once the vehicle was removed from the roadway, fire department was available. Single patient transported BLS to Lewistown Hospital for evaluation. Medic 29 went available.

-Rescue 2 dispatched to Walker Twp, Rt 333 near the S-Turns for an MVC with entrapment. Cancelled en route by Amb 8-2. Rescue 2 had 5.
-Rescue 2 dispatched to Milford Twp, Licking Creek Rd, area of the S-Turns for an MVC. Rescue 2 responded with 5. Arrived on scene with one vehicle, off the roadway, over a drainage ditch, into a yard. All occupants out of the vehicle, no injuries, debris down. Rescue 2's crew disconnected the battery and was then released by Cheif 3-3.

-Co 2, 1, 4, 5, EMS 20 dispatched to Mifflintown Borough, Luthern Church, for structure fire. Chief 2 on scene with a light fixture on the side of the structure on fire. Chief 2 placing Co 4 and 5 available. Engine and Truck 2 staged Side A; Co 1 and EMS 20 staged on North 3rd street. Fire was contained to the light fixture. A birds nest was found to be the reason for the fire. Box cleared shortly after.

-Engine 2 establishing a landing zone at Mifflintown Airport for EMS 20/Medic 29 for male with chest trauma. Life Flight 2 en route with a 12 minute ETA from time of response.
05/09/08
-Co 2, EMS 20 dispatched to Rt 35 and Stop 35 Plaza for an MVC, no injuries, vehicles on the roadway. Chief 2-2 on scene holding Engine 2 in quarters and Rescue 2 non-emergency. PSP notified and en route. Rescue 2 arrived on scene and assisted fire police with traffic control while vehicles were loaded by wrecking company. Box cleared by Chief 2-2.

-Engine 2 responds to Walker Twp, Center Rd, assisting Co 8 with a working shed fire. Safety Officer 4 on scene with the shed on the ground, on fire. Chief 8-2 advising Engine 1-1 can go available, Engine 2 to proceed in reduced rate. Engine 2 arrived on scene and stretched a 3" supply line up the driveway to Engine 8-1. Tanker 8 supplied Engine 2. Mifflin County Truck 11 cancelled en route. Units on scene for approx 45 minutes.

-Rescue 2 dispatched to Milford Twp, Juniata Haven Camp Ground, for lift assist, assisting MICU 1-3. Rescue 2 responded with 4 and assisted MICU 1-3 with extricating Pt from residence.
-Co 2, 1, 8 (rescue), EMS 1 dispatched to Rt 75/Industrial Pk Rd Ext near the new ball field for wires down. Reported wires down next to a large propane tank with a grass fire. A truck hauling empty cylinders has the live downed wire on top of his vehicle and is trapped inside. PPL en route 20 min ETA. PPL arrived on scene and killed the power. Brush 1 extinguished the grass fire and the box was cleared.

05/04/08
-Co 2, 1st alarm units, EMS 20 dispatched to Arch Rock Rd for a structure fire reported electrical. Reported flames from electrical sockets. Engine 2 responded with 6 and arrived on scene with a single story modular structure, nothing showing side A. Chief 2 holding the box to Co 2 all others can go available. Fire out, electricity off. Co 2 assessed the structure and cleared the box shortly after.
