April 2010 Calls 04/28/10 - At 16:32, units from the 2-02 Box were sent to Walker Twp 2039 Doe Run Road, for a reported chimney fire. E22 marked out with 5, Chief 21-2 (Boreman) in the seat. Units arrived to find a 2 1/2 story dwelling, light smoke from the chimney. E22 crew laddered the building, E12-1 crew sent units inside with the TIC. Interior crew found nothing. Roof crew cleaned chimney (which was all but clogged) Units clear. Units: 22, 29, 12-1, 15-3 04/26/10 - At 22:39, a Taskforce Alarm was struck out for 12393 William Penn Highway, Armstrong Cabinets, for a reported Fire Alarm. Box 8-01. Chief 81 was o/s with nothing showing, all units to stage on Side A of the building. E22 and R29 both responded and staged. E22 crew, with TIC, were summoned to the bulding to check the duct work. After further investigation, nothing was found, box cleared. Units: 22, 29, 48, 62, 63-1, 63-2, 82, 83, 89, P7, P104, 85-2 04/23/10 - At 13:48, units on the 2-07 Box were alerted to a single vehicle MVA on the Rt 35 overpass of Rt 322. Before any units signed on, PSP arrived and advised no injuries, cancelling all Fire/EMS equipment. 14:14 - Units on the 2-08 Box were alerted to a woods fire just off Rt 322, west bound, just before the Port Royal exit. Before any units signed on, Chief 21 (Leiter) advised it was a controlled burn, all units placed available. 04/22/10 - At 15:30, units were dispatched to Walker Twp, intersection of William Penn Hwy and W. River Road, for a reported vehicle accident, possibly 3 vehicles and a bus. Chief 21-2 (Boreman) arrived o/s to advise 2 vehicles, 3 injuries, NO BUS involved. R29 arrived- cribbed the vehicles and de-energized. Crews then assisted EMS with extricating all patients and cleared the roadway. Units: 22, 29, 20-5-1, 20-5-3, 15-1, Medic 29 23:30 - Units dispatched to 527 Laurel Run Road, for a reported MVA. Box 4-04. As E22 was signing on the air, they were placed available by Co 4 04/20/10 - At 06:17, units were called to Fermanagh Twp, Rt 322 west bound on ramp at Arch Rock, for a reported tractor trailer accident. Units arrived o/s to find 2 rigs tangled on the on-ramp, no injuries, but the saddle tank was ripped open and diesel fuel was leaking. Personnel contained the spill with dirt until EMA arrived. Units: 22, 29, 12-1, 20-5-1, EMA, PSP 16:16 - Units were dispatched to 87 Swamp Road for a reported MVA with entrapment. Box 2-02. Chief 21-2 (Boreman) on scene with 1 vehicle sheered off a pole, down an embankment, into a tree, occupants still inside. R29 arrived and went to work- removing the passenger doors and roof to access the driver. Crew then assisted EMS with extricating the driver. Extrication time: 22 mins. Units: 22, 29, 12-1, 15-1, 20-5-1 21:08 - Units were sent to Rt 322 east bound in the Narrows, for a reported MVA involving a tractor trailer. Chief 21-3 (Geedy) traveled west to Mifflin Co not finding anything. JC units staged while MC sent units - MC found the scene, was not an accident. Box cleared 04/17/10 - At 23:20, Engine 22 was summoned to Fayette Twp - 2369 Rockland Road, for a reported tree down. E22 was placed available by Co 4 04/15/10 - At 00:53, Engine 22 and Tanker 63-1 were summoned to transfer to Mifflin Co Station 6 (Reedsville) Mifflin Co units were working a building fire at AJ Peachey on Barrville Road. Engine 22 marked out with a crew of 5, Capt 21 (Henry) in the seat. before they completed the transfer, E22 was summoned to the scene. E22 pumped water to the scene for hours. - At 12:24, Co 2 was called mutual aid with Co 3, for a reported wildfire on Hawstone Road. After driving to the county line and finding nothing, units were cleared. Units: 22, 29, 36, 20-5-1 - At 13:03, units were sent to 4785 William Penn Highway for a reported MVA. Rescue 29 arrived to find 2 vehicles on the roadway, fluids/debris down, 1 injury. Crew assisted EMS with extrication. Box cleared soon after. Units: 22, 29, 20-5-1, 20-5-3, Medic 29 04/14/10 - At 08:05, mutual aid units were sent to 1661 Tennispark Road, for a reported structure fire. E22 marked out with 6, Chief 21-2 (Boreman) in the seat. Most 1st alarm units were working a fire in the 9-02 box, so 2nd alarm units with transfer were alerted to this fire. Mifflin Co E6 was first in with working fire. E22 was diverted to Brubaker's pond to establish a fill site (crew later to scene) Units: 22, 13, 42, 43, 48, 62, 63-1, 63-2, 82, 83, 89, 93-1, SC 10-1, 45 - At 21:58, units were sent to 2533 Mountain Road, for tree/wires down. E22 was placed avail by Command 4 04/13/10 - At 15:42 Engine 22 responded to 2481 Mountain Rd, to assist with a garage fire. Chief 41 had E22 set up fill site on Laurel Run Rd - after fill site was established, Chief 41 placed E22 avail 04/10/10 - Engine 22 and crew landed 2 helicopters at the airport and assisted with pt transfer. 1st chopper call was at 20:31, 2nd call at 21:12 04/08/10 - At 17:00 Rescue assists PD with an accident at 3rd & Bridge Streets 04/07/10 - At 06:24 Personnel respond to 614 Washington Ave to assist EMS with a fall victim 04/05/10 - At 18:28, multiple units were sent to 2393 William Penn Highway - reported woods fire. Chief 21 added multiple units do to a fast moving fire. Units were on scene for hours - 4 counties involved. 04/04/10 - At 17:06, 1st Alarm units summoned to 145 Wagonwheel Lane for a dishwasher on fire. E22 laid 300' of 5" to side A, normal conditions. After further investigation, an electrical malfunction was to blame. Units: 22, 29, 12-1, 13, 82, 83, 53-1, 20-5-1 04/03/10 - At 14:42, units were dispatched to the Mifflintown square for a 2 vehicle MVA. Rescue 29 and crew made short work of the minor accident.
