Company 2 dispatched to MVC result of Police chase

Initial dispatch @ 1948 - Company 2 and EMS 20 dispatched to the short cut to Chicken Plant Rd off Old Rt 22 for a MVC as result of a police chase, unknown injuries. Capt 21 o/s reporting one Pt inside the vehicle - confinment w/ injuries. ALS was already on scene but the box was upgraded to an ALS response. Medic 29 requested second medic to the scene - Medic 1 dispatched. Rescue 29 and Engine 22 arrived on scene to find one vehicle, moderate front end damage, into a tree, one Pt still inside, one outside sitting on the ground. Rescue 29 cribbed the vehicle, took the driver's door and rolled the roof. Engine 22 stretched a charged 150' 1 3/4" handline. The engine compartment was hot and was sprayed down during extrication. Medic 29 requested helicopter to the Mifflintown Airport for two Pt's. Life Flight 2 and Life Lion to airport. Comapny 3 (Mifflin FD) was dispatched for LZ assignment. Passenger transported in Amb 20-5-1 w/ Medic 29, driver transported by Amb 20-5-3 with Medic 1. Both Pt's flown to a trauma center due to injuries and blood loss. Driver extricated at 2014. PSP and wrecker arrived on scene. Box was cleared at 2131.

Odor Investigation

Initial dispatch @ 06:42 - Company 2 and EMS 20 dispatched to Mifflintown Borough, 4th street, to the old school building, for an odor investigation. Reported unknown odor of something inside the building. Engine 22 arrived on scene investigating. Problem found to be a burnt out light ballace. Box cleared at 0658 by Chief 21-3.

Britcher Drive Brush Fire

Initial dispatch @ 14:55 - Companies 2, 3, 1, and EMS 20 were dispatched to Fermanagh Twp on Britcher Drive for a woods fire. Brush 36 was the first unit on scene, finding a small patch of woods on fire. Unit's made quick work of extinguishing the fire and doing mop-up. Units were working approximately one hour from initial unit arrived on scene. Box cleared at 1551

Initial dispatch @ 08:41 - Company 2 and EMS 20 dispatched to the intersection of Cedar Spring Rd and Industrial Park Rd for an MVC, 3 vehicles, unknown injuries. Engine 22 and Rescue 29 arrived on scene to find 2 vehicles blocking the intersection, one in the ditch. One Pt with a minor arm injury. No Pt's transported. PSP and roll-back arrived shortly after apparatus. Debris and vehicles cleared and box placed available at 0920.

Old Rt 22 Brush Fire

Initial dispatch @ 20:17 - Companies 2, 3, 1, EMS 20 were dispatched to Fermanagh Twp along Old Route 22 behind Eby's old car sales for brush fire - reported by Pennsylvania State Police. LT 21 on scene with a controlled burn with someone watching it. Units due responded shortly after dispatch. Chief 21 o/s holding the box to E22. An 1 3/4" handline was pulled and fire was extinguished. Box cleared shortly thereafter.

Stop 35 Fuel Spill

Initial dispatch @ 09:32 - Company 2 and EMS Co 20 were dispatched to Fermanagh Twp in the Stop 35 parking lot for a fuel spill. Reported passenger vehicle leaking gas. Chief 21 arrived on scene to find one white passenger car leaking gas, minimal amount. All units due on the box responded. Fuel leak was absorbed by a few PIG absorbant pads. Roll-back arrived and box was cleared approximately 30 minutes after initial dispatch.

Walker Twp Brush Fire
Initial dispatch @ 13:55 - Companies 2, 1, EMS 1 were dispatched to Walker Twp behind the Walker Elementary School for a rapidly moving brush fire. All units due on the box responded. Brush 36 was requested as second brush truck to the scene while units were en route per E22 from information Fire Police 1 gave - fire into the woods. Arrived on scene with approx 1/4 arce well off. Brush trucks were used along with fire rakes, chain saws and manpower from companies on scene made quick work so the fire did not spread. Hot-spots were found and extinguished. Box cleared at 1519.

Smoke in structure assisting Company 3

Initial dispatch @ 17:28 - Company 2 dispatched with Company 3, Company 1, Company 5, and EMS 20 to Foster Street, Mifflin, Schoolhouse Appts for smoke in structure. Captain 21 first on scene with light smoke from side D of the structure. Engine 32-2 arrived on scene and Chief 31-3 assumed command. Ladder 27 arrived on scene and was ordered to stage. Investigation by Company 3 and Company 2 personnel found smoke from burnt food on a stove. Occupant of appartment was transported ALS to Lewistown Hospital for smoke inhalation. Company 2 was released of the box at 1801.

322 Fuel Leak - EMA to scene

Initial dispatch @ 14:20 - Company 2 dispatched to Route 322 W/B in the area of the top of the 100MPH hill for a tractor-trailor leaking fuel. Engine 22 and Rescue 29 w/ Chief 21 responded and arrived on scene to find a tractor-trailor with a ruptured saddle tank that was leaking diesel onto the highway. EMA was contacted. EMA arrived on scene and the box was clearned at 1746.

322 MVC Roll-over

Initial dispatch @ 06:54 - Company 2, EMS 20, Medic 1 dispatched to Route 322 W/B near the Arch Rock on ramp for a vehicle accident, roll-over, unknown injuries. Foreman 14-1 o/s reporting on vehicle rolled-over, onto its wheels, placing Medic 1 available and having BLS come in reduced rate. Company 2 responded on the call along with one ambulance from EMS 20. One Pt transported to Lewistown Hospital for evalutation. Chief 21 placed box available at 0725.

Arch Rock Rd MVC Overturned
Initial dispatch @ 21:04 - Company 2, EMS 20, Medic 29 dispatched to Arch Rock Rd. Reported one vehicle in the middle of the road on its roof, unknown injuries. LT 21 arrived on scene and advised dispatch that the operator of the vehicle as possibly fled. Dispatched received a call from the operator, stated he got a ride to a near-by residence to call his family. 1 Pt transported for minor injuries. PSP and roll-back arrived and box was cleared at 2220.

Deerville & Industrial Park Rd Ext MVC

Initial dispatch @ 22:08 - Company 2 and EMS 1 were dispatched to Walker Twp, intersection of Deerville Rd and Industrial Park Rd extended for a MVC. Reported 2 vehicles possibly no injuries. Engine 22 and Rescue 29 arrived with two vehicles blocking one lane, debris down, no injuries. Traffic was rerouted for approx 1 hour while PSP took pictures and the rollback arrived. Debris was cleaned up per PSP and vehicles taken away. Box cleared at 2308.
