02/26/10 - Rescue has a busy day
06:29 - Co 4, 2, 8, 6, EMS 4, 20, 8, 1, Medic 29 dispatched to Fayette Twp. area of 2881 Free Springs Church Road, for a reported MVA w/entrapment. Box 4-04. Rescue 29 marked out with 5, Chief 21 (Leiter) in the seat. JCCC advised of a van vs snow plow, with entrapment. Portable 45 arrived o/s reporting 3 patients, 2 entrapped, additional BLS/ALS requested. R29 arrived and crew stabalized the vehicle and began extrication. At the 7 min mark, 1st patient was extricated... at the 15 min mark, the 2nd patient was extricated. R29 cleaned up and cleared the scene.

10:02 - Co 1, 2 dispatched to Walker Twp. on East River Road, for a reported MVA. Box 1-01. Rescue 29 marked out with 4, Chief 21 (Leiter) in the seat. JCCC advised of 1 pick-up on it's side, unknown injuries. Chief 11 (Hart) arrived with occupants out, placing R29 avail.

15:16 - Co 2 was dispatched to assist EMS on the scene of a chest pains call. Fermanagh Twp 140 Sun Valley Drive. Box 2-03. Rescue 29 marked out with 5, Chief 21 (Leiter) in the seat. JCCC advised EMS was o/s and was stuck in the driveway. R29 arrived and manpower walked to the scene from Arch Rock Road. Crew assisted the ambulance back onto the roadway, then assisted them to extricate the pt from the residence, down the snow covered driveway, and into the ambulance.

02/24/10 - Rescue rolls on 7-01 Box
17:03 - Co 7, 1, 2, 22 dispatched to Tuscarora Twp. Rt 850 approx 1/2 mile off Rt 75, for a reported MVA. Box 7-01. Rescue 29 marked out with 5, Chief 21 (Leiter) in the seat. JCCC advised of 1 vehicle that hit a tree, now partiall on the roadway, unknown injuries. Amb 225-2 o/s, occupant out of the vehicle, E12/R29 placed avail.

02/23/10 - MVA in front of ststion 3
14:52 - Co 3, 2, 20, Medic 29 dispatched to Mifflin Boro. Juniata Street by Station 3, for a reported MVA. Box 3-01. Chief 31-3 (Peck) marked on the air. JCCC advised of a T/T vs a van, unknown injuries. Chief 21-2 (Boreman) arrived and reported a T/T vs school van, both drivers out walking around, roadway was blocked. Rescue 29 marked out with 5, Chief 31-3 had them continue in because no response from Co3 units. Mifflin Boro PD arrived and box was cleared.

02/22/10 - Mult-vehicle accident on the highway
10:31 - Co 2, 1, EMS 20, Medic 1 dispatched to Fermanagh Twp. Rt 322 W/B, west of the Arch Rock exit, for a mult-vehicle accident. Box 2-07. Rescue 29 marked out with 3, Chief 21-2 (Boreman) in the seat. JCCC advised of multiple vehicles, unknown injuries. R29 arrived with 3 vehicles, all occupants out. Vehicle A and Vehicle B were both westbound, they got together, Vehicle B spun around and rested westbound pointed east. Vehicle A continued across the median and into the eastbound lanes where it was clippned by Vehicle C. Vehicle A then continued across both eastbound lanes and into the embankment. All occupants were checked out by EMS, all pt refusals, box cleared.

02/21/10 - MVA on 322
07:30 - Co 2 engine dispatched to assist Co 8, Walker Twp, Rt 322 W/B, west of T-town. Engine 22 marked out with 6, Chief 21 (Leiter) in the seat. Co 8 searched their area and has found nothing. Capt21-3 (Stottle) arrived to find PSP at an accident 2 miles east of the radio station. No need for FD, box cleared.
02/19/10 - Rescue assist at the JCP
13:26 - Co 2, EMS 20, Medic 29 dispatched to Mifflintown Boro, Juniata County Prison, for a male fall victim. Rescue 29 marked out with 3, Chief 21-2 (Boreman) in the seat. JCCC advised of a male in his 50's who fell a flight of stairs into the basement. R29 arrived and assisted EMS with packaging and extrication of the patient. Rescue cleared.
02/18/10 - Cardiac Arrest
09:12 - Co 2 AED, EMS 20, Medic 29 dispatched to Fermanagh Twp. Family Practice Center for a cardiac arrest. Rescue 29 marked out with 3, Chief 21 (Leiter) in the seat. JCCC advised person outside in a vehicle, cardiac arrest. R29 arrived and assisted EMS. Box cleared with minutes
02/16/10 - Engine covers for Perry 5
Liverpool Fire (Perry Station 5) lost one of their members in a vehicle accident on 02/11/10. Engine 22, along with Cumberland Rescue 18, stood by in Liverpool's station to cover their area, while they attended the services of their fallen firefighter. Their area was quiet when we were there, once they entered back into service, we cleared and headed home.
17:13 - Co2 dispatched to assist EMS1 with landing zone operations. Fermanagh Twp at the Mifflintown Airport. Box 2-01. EMS1 was o/s of a 10 y/o burn victim. E22 marked out with 4, Chief 21 (Leiter) in the seat. JCCC advised of a 15 min ETA. E22 crew assisted with LZ. Box cleared.

22:47 - Co2, EMS 20 dispatched to Walker Twp. area of 5150 W. River Road, near Empire Kosher, for a reported MVA. Box 2-01. Rescue 29 marked out with 6, Chief 21 (Leiter) in the seat. JCCC advised of a tractor trailer that sheered off a pole, wires and pole hung up on the trailer. R29 arrived to confirm, requested the township to assist in road closure until PPL arrives to deal with the pole. PSP remaining o/s until PPL arrives, FD avail

02/15/10 - Rescue assists Township
16:27 - Co2 was dispatched to Fermanagh Twp, on Fulkroad Road, to close down the roadway for a vehicle accident. Rescue 29 marked out with 4, Chief 21 (Leiter) in the seat. JCCC advised the township truck was involved in an accident, and they wanted the road closed until they got it straightened out. R29 assisted with the closure and went avail soon after.
02/14/10 - Multi-alarm fire in Tuscarora Twp.
00:56 - Co 7, 5, 1, 22 dispatched initially to Tuscarora Twp. 1357 McKinley Road, 1st alarm for residential fire. Box 7-02. JCCC received additional calls of a 2 1/2 story dwelling, working fire with exposures. Chief 71-3 (Arentz) requested Truck 27. 01:01 Truck 27 was dispatched, they marked out with 6, Chief 21 (Leiter) in the seat. T73 arrived o/s with heavy fire, requested into 4th alarm units. Units worked the fire into the wee early morning hours.

10:45 - Co 2, EMS 20, 4, Medic 29 dispatched to Fayette Twp. Rt 35 & Cuba Mills Road, for a 2 vehicle MVA. Box 2-05. Rescue 29 marked out with 3, Chief 21 (Leiter) in the seat. JCCC advised of 2 vehicles, T-bone collision, with confinement. F44 (Kerstetter) o/s with all occupants out of the vehicles, units to respond at reduced rate.

JCCC advised of 1 vehicle into the jersey barrier, unknown injury. E22 arrived to find an SUV into the jersey barriers, 1 occupant out of the vehicle. E22 crew de-energized vehicle and controlled fluids, R29 placed avail.

16:48 - Co 2, 1, EMS 20 dispatched to Fermanagh Twp. Rt 35 & Stop Plaza drive, for a reported MVA. Box 2-01. Rescue 29 responded from the Narrows accident with 5, Chief 21 (Leiter) in the seat. JCCC advised of 1 vehicle into a pole, unknown injuries. R29 arrived to find 1 vehicle sheered off a pole, no wires damaged. Units o/s approx 20 mins

02/12/10 - Working fire in 1st due
17:11 - Co 2, 1, 4, 5, 8, 20 dispatched to Fermanagh Twp. 72 Pennview Drive - Juniata Trailer Court - for a reported structure fire. Box 2-01. Engine 22 marked out with 4, Chief 21 (Leiter) in the seat. JCCC reported multiple calls, 1 trailer fully involved with exposures. E22 arrived to confirm and laid 5" from the Sentinel building. E22 swung the gun and knocked down the bulk of the fire while E22 crew deployed handlines to protect exposures and assist with fire suppression. Incoming units were staged and manpower to the scene. The fire building was a total loss and the exposure buildings sustained severe heat damage. Units were on scene approx 1 1/2 hrs.

02/11/10 - 2 more fires for the day
03:57 - Truck 27 was dispatched to assist on a 7-01 Box. Village of East Waterford, 9619 Rt 35 South, beside Station 7, for a reported chimney fire. Truck 27 marked out with 5, Chief 21-2 (Boreman) in the seat. Upon arriving at the scene, T27 was directed to Side A and asked to go in service and check the chimney/roof area. Chimney fire had spread to the walls and living area of the residence. Truck crew split - 1 crew to the roof and other crew to assist with interior ops. Fire was contained to the living area, with fire and water damage in the area. This was the residence of Chief 71 (Murphy), on behalf of the MHC, we express our deepest condolences to the Murphy family in their time of loss - we wish them a speedy recovery in their repair process.

18:51 - Co 2, 1 dispatched to Walker Twp. 7296 William Penn Highway, just west of the WJUN radio station, for a chimney fire. Box 2-02. Engine 22 marked out with 5, Chief 21-2 (Boreman) in the seat. JCCC advised the caller was a passer-by and could see flames from the chimney. E22 arrived and advised sparks and fire from the chimney, T27 to access the driveway and go in service. Smoke pushing from the vents in the attic space, E22 crew to investigate. E12-1 crew pulled a line to Side A and was ready. Fire was contained to chimney, no extension to the structure.

02/10/10 - Smoke in a structure call
20:48 - Co 5, 1, 7, 2 dispatched to Beale Twp, 1547 Indian Mound Road, 1st alarm for smoke in a structure. Box 5-02. Truck 27 marked out with 6, Capt 21-2 (Groninger) in the seat. Chief 51 (Palm) had all units responded in under caution, directed T27 to stage at his quarters. E52 arrived o/s with smoke showing, further investigation revealed chimney fire with extension, all units were directed to the scene. T27 arrived, crew laddered Side D and assumed roof ops. Fire was contained to the wall of orgin, units remained o/s approx 45 mins.

02/09/10 - Chimney fire in the 8-02
13:06 - Co 8, Co 2 dispatched to Walker Township, 935 Jonestown Road, Shelley Residence,
for a reported chimney fire. Box 8-02. Truck 27 marked out with Chief 21 (Leiter) in the seat. Chief 81-2 (Shearer) advised truck to come in and got to the roof. Chimney was cleaned, boxed cleared.

02/05/10 - Rescue keeps a busy day
12:43 - Co1, 2 dispatched to Turbett Township, Sawmill Road at the Towsey farm, for a farming accident. Box 1-04. Rescue 29 marked out with 4, Chief 21 (Leiter) in the seat. JCCC advised a male pt ran over by a tractor. Chief 11 (Hart) diverted R29 to the airport for LZ Ops. Soon after, they moved the LZ to Port Royal, R29 placed available
14:33 - Co3, 2 were dispatched to Milford Twp. 547 Zook Road, to assist EMS with a traumatic injury. Box 3-03. JCCC advised of a male pt that was struck in the head with a saw or ax of some kind, severe head injury, pt was to be 1/4mile behind the house. 2nd call reported pt out of the woods and to the house, fire depts cancelled.
18:21 - Co2, 20 dispatched to Fermanagh Twp. Rt 35 near Cuba Mills Road, for a MVA. Box 2-05. Rescue 29 marked out with Capt21 (Henry) in the seat. JCCC advised of 1 vehicle off the roadway through a fence, unknown injuries. Capt21-3 (Stottle) o/s confirming. PSP o/s placing FD avail
02/03/10 - EMS assist starts the day
07:07 - Co2 dispatched in place of Co1, Milford Twp. 171 Horning Street in Juniata Haven, to assist EMS with a fall victim. Recue 29 marked out with 2, Chief 21 (Leiter) in the seat. Before arriving o/s, EMS advised they had enough help, R29 placed avail.
08:14 - Co2, 1, 4, 6, 8, 20, M15 dispatched to Fermanagh Twp. 650 Airport Road, 1sts alarm for automatic fire alarm. Box 2-03. Engine 22 marked out with 2, Chief 21 (Leiter) on board. E22 arrived to find normal conditions from the exterior, Safety 11 o/s with smoke in the basement. E12-1 to stage at the hydrant at Airport & Juniata View. Further investigation found a malfunctioning pellet boiler, box held to Co2, 1, and EMS. All units cleared in approx 10mins

18:58 - Co 2 dispatched to Mifflintown Boro - 107 N. Fifth Street - North Street Manor, to assist EMS on the scene of an unconscious male. Rescue 29 marked out with 4, Capt 21 (Henry) in the seat. Co2 personnel assisted with pt packaging and extrication.
